‘McCain Supporter Attack’ a Hoax
by Kevin Van Dyke, Editor

Yesterday, the McCain campaign pushed a story that wholesome, 20-year-old Texan, Ashley Todd was attacked at an ATM in Pittsburgh by a “scary, tall black man” who carved a “B” (for Barack Obama) on her face.
What happened next?
- Drudge reported it as fact.
- The Politico’s Jonathon Martin shamelessly ran with the story without properly checking his sources.
- The story spread all over the internet as fact since it was vouched for by a supposed serious political organization like The Politico.
- Word came today that the story was a hoax from a McCain volunteer
Even the vice president of Fox News is calling out McCain’s campaign for what this is–blatant race-baiting.
Who has the most egg on their face tonight?
