Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer will be this year’s headline speaker at Iowa Senator Tom Harkin’s annual steak fry. While this may not seem all that significant to non-Iowans, this is a very coveted speaking role which has introduced up and comers in the Democratic party to all important caucus voters. Previous speakers include Democratic nominees Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and Barack Obama.
